Hickory Winter Fair 2025​

Hickory PTA’s main family and community event of the year, the Winter Fair, is a family fun event for Hickory students and their families. ADMISSION IS FREE!
Entrance to the event is at the front gate of the school.
The event will take place in the kinder yard, cafeteria, library, stage, and black top areas closest to the stage. The rest of campus, including playgrounds, fields, and basketball hoops, will be closed and off-limits. Please monitor your children. ​Refer to the event map for the attraction and entertainment areas.​​​​​

Play 23 different games and win prizes!

Live Contests and Entertainment located at the outdoor stage

Join the mini pie eating contest and the hula hoop contest! Hickory students TK-5th and friends, relatives and alums of Hickory from middle school through adults can join!

Sign up for the hula hoop contest on the day of the fair at the stage from 4:30-5:00pm.

Live Magic Show located in the kindergarten yard: Come be amazed by magicians Mighty and Cecile and their dog Kia. Performing from 5:30-7:00pm.

Reptile Booth by Kids Reptile Parties: interact with over a dozen reptiles

Bug Education Table with Entomologist Elizabeth Lavi

Learn about gardening and Hickory’s new garden with Teensy Weensy Farms

Crafts Exhibition located in the library

View the 40 student entries to the Winter Fair Crafts (Theme: What Makes Me Happy) and Diorama (Theme: Nature in Winter) Contests

Silent Auction: Bid on a variety of theme baskets and prizes. Located in the cafeteria.
Nature Pavilion: Adopt a Seal, Sponsor a Plant in Hickory’s garden
Musical Treats: A game like musical chairs with the chance to win sweet treats ($1 per person per round, cash only). Located between the 1st and 2nd grade buildings.
