• Join the PTA or renew your membership

  • Membership must be renewed at the beginning of each school year. You can sign up multiple family members. No volunteering is required to join!

• Subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on social media

  • The best way receive up to date information on PTA events and programs.

• Want to help out? Fill out the volunteer interest form

  • There are a variety of volunteer opportunities such as ongoing programs, single events, planning committees and more. We are happy to accept as much or as little time you may have.

  • For in-class volunteer or room representative opportunities, please check with your child's teacher.

  • Some volunteer positions require approval through a TUSD online application.

• Order spiritwear on our online store from 8/29-9/12

  • Students are encouraged to wear their grade level colors on Fridays. Do not miss our online store window to order your child's class color shirt! A second ordering window is not guaranteed.

• Bring an emergency kit to your child's classroom and after school care program

  • Emergency kits are on sale at Back to School Night, or you can put together your own with the list on our website.

• Be on the lookout for our Fall fundraisers!

  • Bruster's Ice Cream, Fund Photos family photoshoots, and Direct Donation.

  • Or donate early on our website. We appreciate your support!

Fund Photos Fall 2025

Support Hickory Elementary PTA through our photo fundraiser! Join Fund Photos September through November 2025 for a classic family photo shoot in the South Bay.​​​

For $50 (plus a processing fee), each family gets a 15 minute portrait session and 2 digital images of their choice and Hickory PTA receives a $50 donation!

2025 Registration Day

Come to Hickory Elementary for Registration Day on Friday Aug 15th, 10am. This is your opportunity to verify registration in PowerSchool, purchase emergency kits, see the school with your student and much more!

• The campus will open for all families at 10am.

• Kindergarten playground will open at 12:30pm for incoming TK/K students to play.

• Enjoy some refreshing Kona Ice from 12:30p-3pm

Complete Registration Online

• Please complete your PowerSchool registration before August 15th. We will verify you have updated your emergency contacts and completed the annual registration the day of.

• Chromebooks will be available for those who need assistance.

• Note: Teacher assignments will NOT be available on Registration Day due to ongoing enrollments.

Hickory PTA members and volunteers will be there to assist with questions.

• No Spiritwear sales will be available during Registration Day.

• Online ordering will begin after the start of the school year.
