Heroes Week 2025

Each year, our Hickory Hounds celebrate and honor the heroes within our community—military, law enforcement, firefighters, and healthcare workers. This year, we will highlight the extraordinary efforts of our first responders during the Los Angeles wildfires, as well as those unsung heroes who will help rebuild afterward—construction workers, architects, and engineers.

If you are one of these heroes, we invite you to reach out to our Heroes Week Chair, Brittany Resendez, at hello@hickorypta.net. We are looking for parents and family members who can participate in our Heroes Week assembly on Friday, April 18th, at 9:00 AM.

Teacher Appreciation Week Donations

Hickory's Teacher Appreciation Week this year is April 21-25, 2025! For classroom specific details, stay tuned for more information from your room reps.

The Hickory PTA wants to show our 98 teachers and staff how much we love and appreciate them! 

The PTA is putting together several events for our teachers, including a breakfast, luncheon, and a snack/dessert bar.

We are looking for donations of non-perishable desserts/snacks.

If you would like to donate something, please sign up at the link below. The qty/count listed for each item is just suggested, based on common packaging sizes--feel free to bring whatever size or amount you'd like.

DROP OFF INFO: Please drop off your donation at the front of the school between 8:30am and 3:30pm on Thursday April 17 or Friday April 18. There will be a box and a sign where you can put your items.

Yearbook Cover Art Contest

Deadline to submit: extended to Sunday, April 13, 2025

The 2025 Yearbook Cover Contest is accepting drawings now. This contest is open to all Hickory students. Only one submission per student please! 

Theme: 🐾 Are you a Helpful Hound? 🐾

Submit an original drawing showing how you help others (it can be you now or in the future), just like the letter H in our H.O.U.N.D. school motto. Do NOT include any words or titles in the artwork.
